Photo by Guy StephensThe best way to become a better photographer is simply take a lot of photographs. As they say, practice makes perfect and the more you practice the art of photography the better you will become. Practice gives us the opportunity and a reason to try new things and push the limits of our knowledge. Each month the Calvert Photography Club provide the topic for the monthly photo assignment.

Themes for the monthly photo assignment vary each month and are aimed at encouraging creativity and the development of new techniques and knowledge. Past photo assignments have included:

  • Patterns and textures
  • Macro photography
  • Reflection
