Are you ready to move beyond the full auto mode & take more control of your camera? If so this one day hands-on photography boot camp is for you.

Sold Out!

We’ve had a great response for the September workshop and this event is now sold out.  We do plan to offer addition dates in the future - if you are interested in attending a future workshop please contact .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) and add your name to the list and you will be among the first know when the next workshop date is announced.

Details:

The emphasis of the boot camp is hands-on activities.  The day will be divided into six sessions.  Each session will consist of a short lecture before moving into the field where experienced photographers will lead participants through exercises to reinforce and demonstrate the principles of exposure including:

  • Aperture - Learn to isolate your subject in a portrait by blurring the background or create a landscape photograph that is sharp from a foreground flower to a distant mountain range.

  • Shutter Speed - Learn to freeze the motion of a soccer kick or capture the movement of a flowing mountain stream or speeding race car.

  • ISO, focus modes and more - Learn to take better photographs in low light without using a flash and how to make sure your subject’s eye is sharp in a portrait.

  • Manual mode - Learn how to take full control of your camera in manual mode and how this can help you overcome challenging situations.
