June Photo Trip - Annapolis Irish Festival

Due to a conflict at our original location, Longwood Gardens, it was decided by some members of the trip committee to change the location to the Annapolis Irish Festival.

About the Festival
“Since the inaugural Annapolis Irish Festival in 2011, the festival has become an Annapolis tradition and a regional attraction thanks to the support of the business community and the people who share our passion for the Emerald Isle and the magical Celtic traditions and music we hold so dear.”

ADMISSION:
• Tickets $25 per person
• Gates open 11:00 am – Purchase online and get in 30 minutes early
• Children under 12 free with when accompanied by paying adult.

Suggested Meetup time / Location: 11 AM / Let’s meet at the entrance of the festival before 11.  It is suggested that any club members attending the festival should get contact information from fellow club members so they can tour the festival as a group.

Directions/Parking:
Parking is FREE but it is recommended to get there early for good parking spots.
Restrictions/Policies:

On the Irish Festival site, the following restrictions were posted:
• The fairgrounds prohibit smoking onsite.
• No pets, coolers, food or beverages may be brought into the festival.
• Backpacks and other bags are subject to search by festival security personnel.

There is no mention of any photography restriction or restriction of tripods.  Please use your best judgment.

Food/Dining:
There will be food available at the festival.

As an alternative, the club can meet for lunch after the festival at a nearby restaurant.  This would be a great way to get to know other club members.
